Program Team
The HERMES Program is being implemented by the Mobile Radio-Communications Laboratory / National Technical University of Athens and the Radiocommunications Laboratory / Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Program technical equipment has been kindly donated by the mobile telephony provider, Vodafone and before any equipment is included in the system it is checked by the university laboratories.
Operating as independent scientific bodies, these university laboratories check and confirm system technical features, while at the same time overseeing and confirming the correctness of data to ensure that measurement results are both transparent and valid.
The scientific team at the Mobile Radio-Communications Laboratory at the National Technical University of Athens is comprised of:
- Phillip Constantinou: Project Supervisor, Director of the Mobile Radio-Communications Laboratory, NTUA professor
- Constantinos Veranopoulos: Project Engineer, Website developer, Electrical Engineer, NTUA doctoral candidate
- Agamemnon Yalofas: Project Engineer, Database and Web Server developer, Electrical Engineer, M.B.A., NTUA doctoral candidate
- Antonis Gotsis: Project Engineer, Web Server designer - developer, Electrical Engineer, NTUA doctoral candidate
- Dimitris Komnakos: Project Engineer, Electrical Engineer, NTUA doctoral candidate
- Nikolaos Koutsianas: Project Engineer, Electrical Engineer, NTUA doctoral candidate
- Alexandros Karagiannis: Project Engineer, Electrical Engineer, NTUA doctoral candidate
